Who we are

The Parliament Wine Lounge is proudly brought to you by Heringer Estates Family Vineyards and Winery.

Clarksburg, CA has been home to the Heringer family since 1868, when John Heringa immigrated from Holland to farm in the Sacramento Delta. After generations of growing crops like alfalfa and tomatoes, the family planted their first vineyard in the 1970s, helping lay the foundation for today’s Clarksburg Wine Country.

Now, Heringer Estates carries on that legacy with over 30 certified sustainable wines, a customizable wine club, private events, and daily tastings at their Clarksburg estate. And now, they’re taking that history and award winning wine to Historic Old Sacramento at their new tasting room location.

Our Vineyards

The wines we serve at The Parliament come from our family estate vineyards, located just 15 miles south in Clarksburg. Talk about locally sourced!

These vineyards have been in our family for six generations and are rooted in the rich soils of the Sacramento River Delta. We grow a wide range of varietals, including Tempranillo, Petite Sirah, Chenin Blanc, and much more. All farmed with care and a commitment to sustainability, we have been farming our grapes organically without pesticides and the climate, soil, and Delta breeze give our wines their distinct character.

Every glass poured at The Parliament starts here in the vineyard. It’s the foundation of everything we do!
